Rafael Lima Gonzalez, is an abstract geometric painter who works in Long Island New York. Rafa is best known for applying his aesthetic to a variety of surfaces including canvas, denim, leather, wood, glass, marble, silk, and metal. The main theme of his work is unity through diversity in art which is represented by an intersection of line, angle and color texture. Rafa's affinity for geometric patterns can be linked to ancient Egyptian design and mid-century abstraction.
He was born in Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic in 1973, son of Mr. Ramon Gonzalez and Mrs. Miladys Lima. I studied the Art of Abstract Painting and Much More in Jarabacoa with Master Pedro Widdicombe about 25 years ago.
